sarahI think this is my favorite place in Williamsburg. The park is so urban and captures the beauty of the river, the city and the bridge, with enough distance to be peaceful. On a beautiful day you’ll all different people from the neighborhood sitting on the rocks enjoying the breeze. Once I was sitting on the rocks writing in my journal and a young Hasidic man asked me why I was writing in a journal and did it help me understand my thoughts?

rozzI used to come here with my doggy, Tozzie, all the time. She loved it. It’s so peaceful.

It’s also where I ran to and gathered with others as we watched the burning towers on 9/11, after I saw the second tower get struck on tv. Many mixed emotions when I come here.
