sabrinaNot long ago, there were lots of prostitutes working this very corner! I remember walking to the train very early one morning (6:00AM or so), and I passed one woman who was still trying to flag down customers as they drove by on Driggs. I still thought it was a pretty street then, so I’m not surprised that this building is going up. I’m curious to see it finished.

This building is morphing into the style of many of the new buildings, which to me is like taking a modern office and replacing the steel with brick. What is this architectural movement, I wonder?

I remember seeing this building while walking through Williamsburg about a month ago. It was the first time seeing it and (to me) it looked out of place. It broke my heart that this building made no attempt to reconcile itself with the surrounding neighborhood. (There goes the neighborhood)

This building does nothing but reconcile itself with surrounding buildings. It picks up the typography and materials of both the school across the street and the long brick building next to it on Driggs. Plus, it is appropriately scaled. Don’t be a NIMBY. This is a fine building.
