This building is one of the sites that the Williamsburg Greenpoint Preservation Alliance works to preserve.
I checked out the Rokeach & Sons building on Property Shark and the Dept. of Buildings and it doesn’t look like there have been any recent changes in ownership (owner is listed as H H Morgan, couldn’t find any info.) Two of the stores on the street level on Wythe closed (one used to be Mini Jake, which moved to North 9th.
It looks like they are replacing some windows, so I’m guessing those units are empty right now.

The most recent complaint to the the DOB was about early morning construction next door. The residents of this building are troopers, because almost every other building on the block has been demolished and the lots are under construction:

Today I called the number on the for rent sign, but all I could get out of the owner is that the rent for the store will be $3600 a month.
Also took this picture of the building with that new glass tower:
I can only imagine what it will be like when the whole block is developed.

I’d like to know where I can purchase Rokeach Sour Salt. What supermarkets carry this product? Need it for Passover. Thanks!
